Happy Birthday Sam!

Today we are celebrating our fearless leader's birthday!  Happy Birthday Sam!  Last night we celebrated just the 3 of us, but tonight we will be celebrating with Sam's family.

I had the genius idea of posting pictures on here of us celebrating all his birthdays past, but it just wasn't that pretty.  And I didn't have one from every year.  I have never been the best about taking pictures.  But just for old time's sake, here's one of us from his birthday in 2013.

I could not be more thankful for the friend and partnership that we have.  We were married for 7 years before MH came along.  As great as all those years were, it's been even more fun seeing him as a dad and loving our little family of 3.

Happy Birthday Sam, I love you!

Fall, Football, and Family

Today was one of those rare gems in the M household - a Saturday at home with no plans!!  Of course that doesn't mean it's all lazy, lay on the couch and watch college football all day.  MH would NEVER let that happen.

Our day started how every Saturday in the fall should start - in our PJs, drinking coffee, and watching College Gameday.  Pre-MH we would wake up early, go for our weekly long run, and then watch College Gameday while unwinding from our run.  For some reason we haven't pick that routine back up...

Hey Gameday bus!  We saw the whole show's set-up a few weeks ago when we were in Ft. Worth for the weekend.

For the second year running I have out my favorite Baylor football door hanger.  Since Baylor has typically been one of the smaller Texas schools, it can sometimes be hard to find Baylor home goods or accessories.  I was thrilled when I was able to get this Bronwyn Hanahan Art football hanger from Etsy, customized exactly as I wanted.  I love all her door hangers and would love to order more for different seasons.

MH wearing her Baylor colors to cheer the Bears on v. Kansas.  I'm thinking this dress will serve a dual purpose when we cheer on the LSU Tigers later on today.

Later we were able to switch out the bows for cheering on the LSU Tigers.

With the Bears in a comfortable lead, Sam decided it was probably safe to start watching the Texas-OU game.  Apparently this was his compromise for watching both.

As for me, I've finally decided on October 10th it's time to put out the Halloween and Fall decor.  I'm doing better than last year when I pulled it out the week before Halloween, just sayin'.  I'll put some finished product pics up in a few days.

We closed out the day grilling out burgers and you guessed it - watching more football.  MH and I gave Sam his birthday presents tonight since he usually leaves for church before we are out of the bed.

Hope your Saturday was just as good and all your teams won.  As for me, I think I'll go find some candy corn to eat...

Friday Favorites: I LOVE Walt Disney World

If you have ever spent much time around my husband and myself you'll quickly pick up on the fact that we are big Disney fans.  To be more specific, HUGE Walt Disney World fans.  As in our daughter had been on 3 trips in the first 14 months of her life (not to mention the trips in utero).  As in we get home from a trip and immediately start planning our next.  You get the picture...

MH at 5 months on her first WDW trip.  First stop - meet Minnie.

Taking in Epcot at 5 months.

Concluding her first trip totally enchanted by Belle.

MH, at 9 months, super excited about her second WDW trip.  Sorry Daddy, only part of your face made the pic.

"Posing" with Ariel

Side trip to Diagon Alley at that other park which must not be named.  Just kidding, silly Harry Potter joke.  At Universal Studios Florida

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at 14 months

Whew!  That was exhausting!!

Obviously we won't be able to maintain this crazy pace as MH grows up, but we've been blessed to experience these trips over the past year.  With both my husband and I having somewhat stressful jobs, this is where we can go to completely unplug and unwind.

One of the reasons I wanted to start this blog was to pass along all this WDW knowledge we've seemed to accumulate over the years.  I am NOT a travel agent and don't hold myself out as one, but I have helped so many friends and family members plan their own Disney trips. There are now so many options when it comes to Disney it can be overwhelming.  Hopefully I can help you sort some of it out by reviewing all the hotels, restaurants, and activities we've experienced on our trips - mixed in with a little pixie dust!

See ya real soon!

Welcome to Wholly Hannah!

My first semester of college I took a Business Computer class.  I'm not real sure what I learned, and that was the last class I ever took in the Business school.  Our PowerPoint presentation project was quite the challenge for me.  I never, EVER would have foreseen blog-writing in my future - mainly due to my fear of all things computer.

Fast forward a few (or a lot) of years.  After a Christmas break spent consumed by Pinterest and all kinds of wonderful blog inspiration I was feeling bold.  I decided my New Year's Resolution was to start a blog of my own.  That was January 2013.  I created a blogging profile, set up a blog template, and then everyday life took over and the project sputtered out like most New Year's Resolutions do.

Two and a half years later, a whole lotta life changes, and I'm back!!!!  But this time for good.  So here's a little about me.

My name's Hannah.  I'm married to my college sweetheart and we have the cutest little girl (MH).

I realize this may not be the best picture of the husband and myself, but how can you resist that happy, smiling baby?!  Totally unbiased, I know.

A Louisiana girl born and raised, I took off for the Lone Star State to attend college.   I thought it would be a quick four years and back, but life never really goes how we plan.  Thirteen years later and it appears I'm officially a Texan!

My husband and I are both second-generation Baylor Bears and the most die-hard of fans.  As in, MH attended her first football game when she was 8 weeks old.

And she's attended every other home football game, the Cotton Bowl, and some basketball games since then...  This is from last weekend when we played Texas Tech at the AT&T Cowboys Stadium.

But that's just a little snippet about me.  I can't wait to share more as we embark on this whole new adventure, and hopefully get to know you as well!  Thanks for coming along!
